He/she wants to simply survive the situation, and has a deep need for excitement. These goals are frustrated by being wanted by the police and a chef who is paranoid and is extremely tidy.

An automobile figures prominently in the story.

A walk in the woods during the 2008 Quakenbush family reunion. This was shot near Winter Park, Colorado. The forest begins to recover from a massive fire, as well as a beetle infestation that devastated the lodge pole pine trees there.
