Fun Stuff

RMCAD Regatta

You may need to click the headline to view multimedia content for this entry. Flash player required.

A new tradition at work -- students build boats for a short race. Like the Boulder Kinetics, but smaller and less corporate.

Hula Transmission

You may need to click the headline to view multimedia content for this entry. Flash player required.

A strange transmission from someplace far away. Through the interstellar noise comes a message, an image. What could it mean?!?

The footage is from a camera test, shot on Super 8mm reversal stock at about 70fps. (transfered at 18fps to NTSC 29.97, then exported for upload at half that....) The score was donated by a tall, bald coworker named Mike (Atman Eternal Dance II). The performer is a hoop dancer I know named Jacqui.

Conan O'brian "Uriny" commercial

Written and directed by Lauren Welborne. This was our entry in Conan O'Brian's "make your own commercial" contest. We won! (not).

Composite Portrait

A composite portrait showing four of thirteen faces at any given time. Kinda cool, kinda creepy. Enjoy :-)

Accidents and Amusements

Maybe we didn't plan it, but we shot it anyway.

Tube Trouble

A moment captured while shooting b-roll for the Boulder Food and Wine Festival. You couldn't plan a shot like this!

2008 Quakenbush Reunion: forest video

You may need to click the headline to view multimedia content for this entry. Flash player required.

A walk in the woods during the 2008 Quakenbush family reunion. This was shot near Winter Park, Colorado. The forest begins to recover from a massive fire, as well as a beetle infestation that devastated the lodge pole pine trees there.
