About the alien abduction pinups

HannaLore in GreenHannaLore in Green

Two cultural benchmarks for you to consider:

Point one: Vintage Star Trek. Captain Kirk. Too much of the blue stuff. And in shimmers a carnivorous green beauty -- the Orion Slave Girl. He's rendered helpless.

Point two: 1989. IBM-PC. Too much free time. Enter a great game called "Star Control". Two players try to blast each other out of space, represented by one of many alien races. Each race has it's own strength and weaponry. One race: the Syreen. Their weapon? Luring the opposition's astronauts into deep space with their seductive song.

It is desirable, nay, necessary to have these girls somehow represented in the project. So begins the green girl pinup poster sub-project.

Lessons learned from this exercise?

  1. There are a surprisingly large number of cute women willing to put on creative underwear, and little else, and spend several hours having their photo taken.
  2. And many of them already have creative underwear.
  3. Playing dress-up is much, much more interesting when you can play with real girls.
  4. If you need to photoshop a pink girl green, don't take the photo with blue lights.

The shape-shifting Syren plays a very important part in the (as yet unmade) series.

If Necessity is the mother of Invention, then Laziness is his deadbeat father. And Greed is his gold-digging wife.
