The Day Job

Between projects David works as the "everything that's not print" guy on the five person marketing team at Rocky Mountain College of Art + Design. In addition to all things web, video and mass e-mail he is also the unofficial staff photographer and a marketing copywriter/editor.

He holds a BA in philosophy from Colorado State University (class of '96), and has over fifteen years' experience delivering creative solutions for all kinds of projects. Independent projects over the last eight years have focused on videography and photography.

What's in the bag?

The basic kit consists of a Canon XHA1 high definition digital cinema camera and an 8 piece tungsten light kit with various soft boxes, reflectors, stands, etc.

Audio consists of a Sennsheiser ME66 directional microphone with boom and a pair of AudioTechnica wireless lavalier microphones. In those situations that require second system audio recording we use a 4 port interface (with balanced XLR inputs) and record direct to disk.

Additional resources are available for larger, more complicated projects.

He has extensive experience shooting with the Sony PMW-EX1, Panasonic HVX-200, HDV and 16mm film.
